That would be far from you to do in this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that would be far from you: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?
Therefore now let the fear of the LORD be upon you; be careful and do it: for there is no iniquity with the LORD our God, nor respect of persons, nor taking of bribes.
And found his heart faithful before you, and made a covenant with him to give the land of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Jebusites, and the Girgashites, to give it, I say, to his descendents, and have performed your words; for you are righteous:
Therefore listen to me, you men of understanding: far be it from God, that he should do wickedness; and from the Almighty, that he should commit iniquity.
The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.
I know that, whatever God does, it shall be for ever: nothing can be added to it, nor anything taken from it: and God does it, that men should fear before him.
Because you have forgotten the God of your salvation, and have not been mindful of the rock of your strength, therefore shall you plant pleasant plants, and shall sow it with foreign cuttings:
O LORD, you are my God; I will exalt you, I will praise your name; for you have done wonderful things; your counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.
Therefore thus says the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tested stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believes shall not be in haste.
And therefore will the LORD wait, that he may be gracious to you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy on you: for the LORD is a God of justice: blessed are all those who wait for him.
And a man shall be as a hiding place from the wind, and a shelter from the storm; as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land.
But the LORD is the true God, he is the living God, and an everlasting king: at his anger the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to endure his indignation.
But let him who glories glory in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the LORD who exercises loving kindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth: for in these things I delight, says the LORD.
And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up my eyes to heaven, and my understanding returned to me, and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honored him who lives for ever, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom is from generation to generation:
Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, all of whose works are truth, and his ways justice: and those who walk in pride he is able to bring low.
Are you not from everlasting, O LORD my God, my Holy One? we shall not die. O LORD, you have ordained them for judgment; and, O mighty God, you have established them for correction.
You are of purer eyes than to behold evil, and cannot look on iniquity: why do you look upon those who deal treacherously, and hold your tongue when the wicked devours the man who is more righteous than he?
The just LORD is in the midst of her; he will not do iniquity: every morning he brings his judgment to light, he never fails; but the unjust knows no shame.
But according to your hardness and impenitent heart you store up for yourself wrath for the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;
But Jeshurun grew fat, and kicked: you have become fat, you have grown thick, you are covered with fatness; then he forsook God which made him, and lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation.
Know therefore that the LORD your God, he is God, the faithful God, who keeps covenant and mercy with those who love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
Therefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Zion a chief corner stone, chosen and precious: and he who believes in him shall not be disgraced.
