For the wicked boasts of his heart’s desire, and blesses the covetous, whom the LORD abhors.

Therefore was the anger of the LORD kindled against his people, so that he abhorred his own inheritance.

For you are not a God that has pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with you.

When God heard this, he was angry, and greatly abhorred Israel:

But you have cast off and abhorred, you have been angry with your anointed.

And I will set my tabernacle among you: and my soul shall not abhor you.

And I will destroy your high places, and cut down your images, and throw your carcasses upon the carcasses of your idols, and my soul shall abhor you.

The Lord GOD has sworn by himself, says the LORD the God of hosts, I abhor the excellence of Jacob, and hate his palaces: therefore will I deliver up the city with all that is in it.

Three shepherds also I cut off in one month; and my soul loathed them, and their soul also abhorred me.

So then because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew you out of my mouth.

And the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel, and he delivered them into the hands of plunderers that plundered them, and he sold them into the hands of their enemies round about, so that they could not any longer stand before their enemies.
