Butter of cattle, and milk of sheep, with fat of lambs, and rams of the breed of Bashan, and goats, with the fat of grains of wheat; and you drank the pure blood of the grape.
And honey, and butter, and sheep, and cheese from cows, for David, and for the people that were with him, to eat: for they said, The people are hungry, and weary, and thirsty, in the wilderness.
And they took strong cities, and a fat land, and possessed houses full of all goods, wells dug, vineyards, and oliveyards, and fruit trees in abundance: so they did eat, and were filled, and became fat, and delighted themselves in your great goodness.
Nevertheless they were disobedient, and rebelled against you, and thrust your law behind their backs, and slew your prophets which testified against them to turn them to you, and they committed great provocations.
And it shall come to pass, because of the abundance of milk that they shall give he shall eat butter: for butter and honey shall every one eat that is left in the land.
You shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the blood of the princes of the earth, of rams, of lambs, and of goats, of bullocks, all of them fatlings of Bashan.
Hear this word, you cows of Bashan, who are in the mountain of Samaria, who oppress the poor, who crush the needy, who say to their masters, Bring, and let us drink.
Feed your people with your rod, the flock of your heritage, who dwell alone in the forest, in the midst of Carmel: let them feed in Bashan and Gilead, as in the days of old.
All the best of the oil, and all the best of the wine, and of the wheat, the first fruits of them which they shall offer unto the LORD, them have I given to you.
And the winepress was trodden outside the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even to the horses’ bridles, for a distance of sixteen hundred city block lengths.
