And if your brother be not near to you, or if you do not know him, then you shall bring it to your own house, and it shall be with you until your brother seeks after it, and you shall restore it to him again.

Therefore whatever things you would like for men to do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.

You shall not see your brother’s ox or his sheep go astray, and hide yourself from them: you shall surely bring them again to your brother.

In like manner shall you do with his donkey; and so shall you do with his clothing; and with all lost things of your brother’s, which he has lost, and you have found, shall you do likewise: you may not hide yourself.

That no one go too far and take advantage of his brother in any matter: because the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified.
