For the LORD your God has blessed you in all the works of your hand: he knows your walking through this great wilderness: these forty years the LORD your God has been with you; you have lacked nothing.

Yea, forty years did you sustain them in the wilderness, so that they lacked nothing; their clothes did not become old, and their feet did not swell.

But he knows the way that I take: when he has tried me, I shall come forth as gold.

For the LORD knows the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary pathway; they found no city to dwell in.

I will be glad and rejoice in your mercy: for you have considered my trouble; you have known my soul in adversities;

And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.

And the children of Israel did eat manna forty years, until they came to a land inhabited; they did eat manna, until they came unto the borders of the land of Canaan.

Go and cry in the ears of Jerusalem, saying, Thus says the LORD; I remember you, the kindness of your youth, your bridal love, when you went after me in the wilderness, in a land that was not sown.

I knew you in the wilderness, in the land of great drought.

Also I brought you up from the land of Egypt, and led you forty years through the wilderness, to possess the land of the Amorite.

And the LORD spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the tabernacle of the congregation, on the first day of the second month, in the second year after they had come out of the land of Egypt, saying,

And your children shall wander in the wilderness forty years, and bear your whoredoms, until your carcasses be wasted in the wilderness.

According to the number of the days in which you searched the land, even forty days, each day for a year, shall you bear your iniquities, even forty years, and you shall know the breaking of my promise.

And God said to Balaam, You shall not go with them; you shall not curse the people: for they are blessed.

And the LORD’S anger was kindled against Israel, and he made them wander in the wilderness forty years, until all the generation, that had done evil in the sight of the LORD, was consumed.

And he said to them, When I sent you without purse, and pouch, and shoes, did you lack anything? And they said, Nothing.

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

And when we departed from Horeb, we went through all that great and terrible wilderness, which you saw by the way of the mountain of the Amorites, as the LORD our God commanded us; and we came to Kadesh-barnea.

So you stayed in Kadesh many days, according to the days that you stayed there.

And the time in which we came from Kadesh-barnea, until we had come over the brook Zered, was thirty eight years; until all the generation of the men of war were destroyed out from among the host, as the LORD swore to them.

You shall buy food from them for money, that you may eat; and you shall also buy water from them for money, that you may drink.

Yet the LORD has not given you a heart to perceive, and eyes to see, and ears to hear, until this day.

And I have led you forty years in the wilderness: your clothes have not become old upon you, and your shoe has not become old upon your foot.

For the children of Israel walked forty years in the wilderness, till all the people that were men of war, which came out of Egypt, were consumed, because they obeyed not the voice of the LORD: to whom the LORD swore that he would not show them the land, which the LORD swore unto their fathers that he would give us, a land that flows with milk and honey.
