And Kore the son of Imnah the Levite, the gatekeeper toward the east, was over the freewill offerings of God, to distribute the offerings for the LORD, and the most holy things.

And the LORD appeared to Solomon by night, and said to him, I have heard your prayer, and have chosen this place to myself for a house of sacrifice.

Then stood up Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and his kindred the priests, and Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and his kindred, and built the altar of the God of Israel, to offer burnt offerings on it, as it is written in the law of Moses the man of God.

Also the firstborn of our sons, and of our cattle, as it is written in the law, and the firstlings of our herds and of our flocks, to bring to the house of our God, to the priests that minister in the house of our God:

For the children of Israel and the children of Levi shall bring the offering of the grain, of the new wine, and the oil, to the chambers, where the vessels of the sanctuary are, and the priests that minister, and the gatekeepers, and the singers: and we will not forsake the house of our God.

I will offer to you the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the LORD.

For in my holy mountain, in the mountain of the height of Israel, says the Lord GOD, there shall all the house of Israel, all of them in the land, serve me: there will I accept them, and there will I require your offerings, and the first fruits of your oblations, with all your holy things.

If his offering be a burnt sacrifice of the herd, let him offer a male without blemish: he shall offer it of his own free will at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the LORD.

Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house, and prove me now hereby, says the LORD of hosts, if I will not open for you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed me. But you say, How have we robbed you? In tithes and offerings.

But woe to you, Pharisees! For you tithe mint and rue and all kinds of herbs, and pass over judgment and the love of God: these ought you to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.

You may not eat within your gates the tithe of your grain, or of your wine, or of your oil, or the firstlings of your herds or of your flock, nor any of your vows which you vow, nor your freewill offerings, or heave offering of your hand:

That you shall take of the first of all the fruit of the earth, which you shall bring of your land that the LORD your God gives you, and shall put it in a basket, and shall go to the place which the LORD your God shall choose to place his name there.

But that it may be a witness between us, and you, and our generations after us, that we might do the service of the LORD before him with our burnt offerings, and with our sacrifices, and with our peace offerings; that your children may not say to our children in time to come, You have no part in the LORD.

And the man Elkanah, and all his house, went up to offer unto the LORD the yearly sacrifice, and his vow.

And when she had weaned him, she took him up with her, with three bullocks, and one ephah of flour, and a bottle of wine, and brought him to the house of the LORD in Shiloh: and the child was young.
