O Lord, righteousness belongs to you, but to us shame of face, as at this day; to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to all Israel, that are near, and that are far off, through all the countries to which you have driven them, because of their trespass that they have trespassed against you.

And after all that has come upon us for our evil deeds, and for our great trespass, seeing that you our God have punished us less than our iniquities deserve, and have given us such deliverance as this;

O LORD God of Israel, you are righteous: for we remain yet delivered, as it is this day: behold, we are before you in our trespasses: for we cannot stand before you because of this.

However you are just in all that is brought upon us; for you have done right, but we have done wickedly:

TZADDI. Righteous are you, O LORD, and upright are your judgments.

My confusion is continually before me, and the shame of my face has covered me,

Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation: and my tongue shall sing aloud of your righteousness.

Against you, you only, have I sinned, and done this evil in your sight: that you might be justified when you speak, and be blameless when you judge.

And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the lands beyond the sea.

They shall be ashamed, and also perplexed, all of them: they shall go in confusion together that are makers of idols.

Righteous are you, O LORD, when I plead with you: yet let me talk with you of your judgments: Why does the way of the wicked prosper? why are all those happy who deal very treacherously?

In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name by which he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

And I will deliver them to be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth for their hurt, to be a reproach and a proverb, a taunt and a curse, in all places to which I shall drive them.

We lie down in our shame, and our confusion covers us: for we have sinned against the LORD our God, we and our fathers, from our youth even until this day, and have not obeyed the voice of the LORD our God.

Because of all the evil of the children of Israel and of the children of Judah, which they have done to provoke me to anger, they, their kings, their princes, their priests, and their prophets, and the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely: and this is the name with which she shall be called, The LORD our righteousness.

As keepers of a field, are they against her round about; because she has been rebellious against me, says the LORD.

Do they provoke me to anger? says the LORD: do they not provoke themselves to the confusion of their own faces?

That you may remember, and be astonished, and never open your mouth any more because of your shame, when I am pacified toward you for all that you have done, says the Lord GOD.

Then shall you remember your own evil ways, and your doings that were not good, and shall loathe yourselves in your own sight for your iniquities and for your abominations.

Therefore the fathers shall eat the sons in the midst of you, and the sons shall eat their fathers; and I will execute judgments in you, and the whole remnant of you will I scatter into all the winds.

He that is far off shall die of the pestilence; and he that is near shall fall by the sword; and he that remains and is besieged shall die by the famine: thus will I accomplish my fury upon them.

Therefore has the LORD watched over the evil, and brought it upon us: for the LORD our God is righteous in all his works which he does: for we did not obey his voice.

O my God, turn your ear, and hear; open your eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city which is called by your name: for we do not present our supplications before you because of our righteousness, but because of your great mercies.

O Lord, to us belongs confusion of face, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against you.

For, lo, I will command, and I will sift the house of Israel among all nations, as grain is sifted in a sieve, yet shall not the least grain fall upon the earth.

What fruit did you have then in those things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death.

He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are justice: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.

And the LORD shall scatter you among the nations, and you shall be left few in number among the heathen, where the LORD shall lead you.
