And he spoke kindly to him, and set his throne above the throne of the kings that were with him in Babylon;

For the LORD most high is awesome; he is a great King over all the earth.

I will praise the LORD according to his righteousness: and will sing praise to the name of the LORD most high.

I will be glad and rejoice in you: I will sing praise to your name, O thou most High.

But you, LORD, are most high for evermore.

Behold, I will send and take all the families of the north, says the LORD, and Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will bring them against this land, and against the inhabitants thereof, and against all these nations round about, and will completely destroy them, and make them an astonishment, and a hissing, and perpetual desolations.

I have made the earth, the man and the beast that are upon the ground, by my great power and by my outstretched arm, and have given it to whom it seemed proper to me.

And all nations shall serve him, and his son, and his son’s son, until the very time of his land comes: and then many nations and great kings shall be served by him.

To turn aside the right of a man before the face of the most High,

Does not calamity and good proceed out of the mouth of the most High?

I have therefore delivered him into the hand of the mighty one of the heathen; he shall surely deal with him: I have driven him out for his wickedness.

This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones: in order that the living may know that the most High rules in the kingdom of men, and gives it to whomever he will, and sets up over it the lowliest of men.

Then Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, was astonished for one hour, and his thoughts troubled him. The king spoke, and said, Belteshazzar, let not the dream, or the interpretation thereof, trouble you. Belteshazzar answered and said, My lord, the dream be to those who hate you, and the interpretation thereof to your enemies.

I thought it good to show the signs and wonders that the high God has performed toward me.

And they shall drive you from men, and your dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field: they shall make you to eat grass like oxen, and seven times shall pass over you, until you know that the most High rules in the kingdom of men, and gives it to whomever he will.

And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up my eyes to heaven, and my understanding returned to me, and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honored him who lives for ever, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom is from generation to generation:

And he was driven from the sons of men; and his heart was made like the beasts, and his dwelling was with the wild donkeys: they fed him with grass like oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven; till he knew that the most high God ruled in the kingdom of men, and that he appoints over it whomever he wills.

My God has sent his angel, and has shut the lions’ mouths, that they have not hurt me: seeing that before him innocence was found in me; and also before you, O king, have I done no hurt.

At midday, O king, I saw in the way a light from heaven, exceeding the brightness of the sun, shining round about me and those who journeyed with me.

Therefore, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision:

However the most High does not dwell in temples made with hands; as the prophet says,

When the most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel.
