The leaves thereof were fair, and the fruit thereof much, and in it was food for all: the beasts of the field had shadow under it, and the birds of the heaven dwelt in the boughs thereof, and all flesh was fed from it.

He takes away the heart of the chief of the people of the earth, and causes them to wander in a wilderness where there is no way.

For there is hope for a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease.

Yet through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant.

The breath of our nostrils, the anointed of the LORD, was taken in their pits, of whom we said, Under his shadow we shall live among the heathen.

In the mountain of the height of Israel will I plant it: and it shall bring forth boughs, and bear fruit, and be a goodly cedar: and under it shall dwell all birds of every wing; in the shadow of the branches thereof shall they dwell.

They also went down into the land of darkness with him to those who are slain with the sword; and those who were his arm, who dwelt under his shadow in the midst of the heathen.

He cried aloud, and said thus, Cut down the tree, and cut off its branches, shake off its leaves, and scatter its fruit: let the beasts go away from under it, and the birds from its branches:

Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among vegetables, and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in its branches.

But of that day and that hour knows no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.

But when it is sown, it grows up, and becomes greater than all vegetables, and shoots out large branches; so that the birds of the air may lodge under the shadow of it.

It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and tossed into his garden; and it grew, and became a large tree; and the birds of the air lodged in the branches of it.
