And, behold, six men came from the way of the higher gate, which lies toward the north, and every man a slaughter weapon in his hand; and one man among them was clothed with linen, with a writer’s inkhorn by his side: and they went in, and stood beside the brass altar.
Then I Daniel looked, and, behold, there stood two others, the one on the bank of the river on this side, and the other on the bank of the river on that side.
Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said to that certain saint which spoke, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily service, and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot?
And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? And what shall be the sign of your coming, and of the end of the world?
To whom it was revealed, that not to themselves but to us they ministered the things which are now reported to you by those who have preached the gospel to you with the Holy Spirit sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.
And the seven angels came out of the temple, having the seven plagues, clothed in pure and white linen, and having their chests wrapped with golden bands.
And they cried out with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, will you not judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?
