And not by his coming only, but by the consolation with which he was comforted in you, when he told us your earnest desire, your mourning, your fervent mind toward me; so that I rejoiced all the more.
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching concerning these things with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that you might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
But now when Timothy came from you to us, and brought us good news of your faith and love, and that you have good remembrance of us always, desiring greatly to see us, as we also to see you:
We are under obligation to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is fitting, because your faith is growing exceedingly, and the love of every one of you all toward each other abounds;
For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labor of love, which you have shown toward his name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
