And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the birds of the air; for it grieves me that I have made them.

And God sent an angel to Jerusalem to destroy it: and as he was destroying, the LORD beheld, and he repented of the evil, and said to the angel that destroyed, It is enough, hold back now your hand. And the angel of the LORD stood by the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.

And he remembered for them his covenant, and repented according to the multitude of his mercies.

For the LORD will judge his people, and he will repent concerning his servants.

But he, being full of compassion, forgave their iniquity, and did not destroy them: yea, many times he turned his anger away, and did not stir up all his wrath.

Return, O LORD, how long? and may you repent concerning your servants.

And the LORD repented of the evil which he thought to do to his people.

Did Hezekiah king of Judah and all Judah put him at all to death? did he not fear the LORD, and pleaded with the LORD, and the LORD repented of the evil which he had pronounced against them? Thus might we bring about great evil against our souls.

If you will yet remain in this land, then will I build you, and not pull you down, and I will plant you, and not pluck you up: for I repent of the evil that I have done to you.

And break your heart, and not your garments, and turn to the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repents of the evil.

The LORD repented for this: It shall not be, says the LORD.

Thus he showed me: and, behold, the Lord stood upon a wall made by a plumb line, with a plumb line in his hand.

And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil that he had said that he would do to them; and he did it not.

And he prayed to the LORD, and said, I pray you, O LORD, was not this my saying, when I was yet in my country? Therefore I fled before to Tarshish: for I knew that you are a gracious God, and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and are sorry for the evil.

And they put away the strange gods from among them, and served the LORD: and his soul was grieved for the misery of Israel.

And when the LORD raised them up judges, then the LORD was with the judge, and delivered them out of the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge: for the LORD was sorry because of their groanings because of those who oppressed them and troubled them.
