I have stricken you with blight and mildew: when your gardens and your vineyards and your fig trees and your olive trees increased, the creeping worm devoured them: yet have you not returned to me, says the LORD.

If there be famine in the land, if there be pestilence, if there be blight, or mildew, locusts, or caterpillers; if their enemies besiege them in the cities of their land; whatever sore or whatever sickness there be:

Why should you be stricken any more? you will revolt more and more: the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint.

Behold, all you who kindle a fire, who surround yourselves with sparks: walk in the light of your fire, and in the sparks that you have kindled. This shall you have from my hand; you shall lie down in sorrow.

The Syrians before, and the Philistines behind; and they shall devour Israel with open mouth. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

And yet for all this her treacherous sister Judah has not turned to me with her whole heart, but deceitfully, says the LORD.

O LORD, are not your eyes upon the truth? you have struck them, but they have not grieved; you have consumed them, but they have refused to receive correction: they have made their faces harder than a rock; they have refused to return.

He shall not return into the land of Egypt, but the Assyrian shall be his king, because they refused to return.

That which the creeping worm has left has the locust eaten; and that which the locust has left has the young locust eaten; and that which the young locust has left has the caterpiller eaten.

He has laid my vine waste, and stripped the bark off my fig tree: he has made it clean bare, and thrown it away; the branches thereof are made white.

And I will restore to you the years that the locust has eaten, the young locust, and the caterpiller, and the creeping locust, my great army which I sent among you.

And I also have given you cleanness of teeth in all your cities, and lack of bread in all your places: yet have you not returned to me, says the LORD.

So two or three cities wandered to one city, to drink water; but they were not satisfied: yet have you not returned to me, says the LORD.

Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labor of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no food; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls:

I struck you with blight and with mildew and with hail in all the labor of your hands; yet you did not turn to me, says the LORD.

And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruit of your ground; neither shall your vine drop her fruit before the time in the field, says the LORD of hosts.

The LORD shall strike you with a wasting disease, and with a fever, and with an inflammation, and with an extreme burning, and with the sword, and with blight, and with mildew; and they shall pursue you until you perish.

All your trees and fruit of your land shall the locust consume.
