And Saul arose from the earth; and when his eyes were opened, he saw no one: but they led him by the hand, and brought him into Damascus.
And he divided himself against them, he and his servants, by night, and struck them, and pursued them to Hobah, which is on the left hand of Damascus.
And they struck the men that were at the door of the house with blindness, both small and great: so that they wearied themselves to find the door.
And the LORD said to him, Who has made man’s mouth? or who makes the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD?
And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon you, and you shall be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell on him a mist and a darkness; and he went around seeking someone to lead him by the hand.
And when I could not see because of the glory of that light, being led by the hand of those who were with me, I came into Damascus.
And immediately there fell from his eyes something like scales: and he received sight at that moment, and arose, and was baptized.
And he was three days without sight, and neither ate nor drank.
In Damascus the governor under Aretas the king guarded the city of the Damascenes with a garrison, desiring to arrest me:
Neither did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went into Arabia, and returned again to Damascus.
