And some of them were men of Cyprus and Cyrene, who, when they came to Antioch, spoke to the Grecians, preaching the Lord Jesus.

Therefore he disputed in the synagogue with the Jews, and with the devout persons, and in the market daily with those who met with him.

And he came to Ephesus, and left them there: but he himself entered into the synagogue, and reasoned with the Jews.

And he went into the synagogue, and spoke boldly for three months, disputing and persuading the things concerning the kingdom of God.

And saw him saying to me, Make haste, and get quickly out of Jerusalem: for they will not receive your testimony concerning me.

And in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplied, there arose a murmuring of the Grecians against the Hebrews, because their widows were neglected in the daily ministration.

But Barnabas took him, and brought him to the apostles, and declared to them how he had seen the Lord on the way, and that he had spoken to him, and how he had preached boldly at Damascus in the name of Jesus.

And he was with them coming in and going out at Jerusalem.

In journeys often, in peril from rivers, in peril from robbers, in peril from my own countrymen, in peril from the heathen, in peril in the city, in peril in the wilderness, in peril in the sea, in peril among false brethren;

Beloved, when I applied myself to write to you of the common salvation, I felt it necessary to write to you and urge you that you should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered to the saints.

Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, did not dare to bring against him a derogatory accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke you.
