And the next day he showed himself to them as they fought, and would have set them at peace again, saying, Sirs, you are brothers; why do you do wrong to one another?
And Abram said to Lot, Let there be no strife, I pray you, between me and you, and between my herdsmen and your herdsmen; for we are brothers.
So he sent his brothers away, and they departed: and he said to them, See that you do not become angry with one another on the way.
Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!
A brother offended is harder to be won than a strong city: and their contentions are like the bars of a castle.
And immediately Jesus urged his disciples to get into a boat, and to go before him to the other side, while he sent the multitudes away.
For he supposed his people would have understood how God by his hand would deliver them: but they did not understand.
If there is therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and compassion,
Let nothing be done through strife or self glorification; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than themselves.
