You shall not raise a false report: put not your hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness.

Then spoke the priests and the prophets to the princes and to all the people, saying, This man is worthy to die; for he has prophesied against this city, as you have heard with your ears.

And when he was in the gate of Benjamin, a captain of the guard was there, whose name was Irijah, the son of Shelemiah, the son of Hananiah; and he took Jeremiah the prophet, saying, You are deserting to the Chaldeans.

And he that blasphemes the name of the LORD, he shall surely be put to death, and all the congregation shall certainly stone him: as for the stranger, so for him that is born in the land, when he blasphemes the name of the LORD, shall be put to death.

For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

And these things will they do to you, because they have not known the Father, nor me.

We know that God spoke to Moses: as for this fellow, we do not know where he is from.

For Moses of old time has in every city those who preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.

And when they were opposed, and blasphemed, he shook his garments, and said to them, Your blood be upon your own heads; I am clean: from this time on I will go to the Gentiles.

Crying out, Men of Israel, help: This is the man, that teaches all men everywhere against the people, and the law, and this place: and further brought Greeks also into the temple, and has polluted this holy place.

And desired a favor against him, that he would send him to Jerusalem, lying in wait on the way to kill him.

And when he came, the Jews who came down from Jerusalem stood round about, and brought many and grievous complaints against Paul, which they could not prove.

And I punished them often in every synagogue, and compelled them to blaspheme; and being exceedingly mad against them, I persecuted them even to foreign cities.

And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the spirit by which he spoke.

And they stirred up the people, and the elders, and the scribes, and came upon him, and caught him, and brought him to the council,

And set up false witnesses, who said, This man does not cease to speak blasphemous words against this holy place, and the law:

And not rather, (as we are slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say,) Let us do evil, that good may come? whose condemnation is just.

Who was formerly a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.
