The Spirit of the LORD spoke by me, and his word was in my tongue.

But the LORD said to me, Say not, I am a child: for you shall go to all that I shall send you to, and whatever I command you you shall speak.

Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name. But his word was in my heart like a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with holding back, and I could not restrain myself.

My bowels, my bowels! I am pained at my very heart; my heart makes a sound in me; I cannot hold my peace, because you have heard, O my soul, the sound of the trumpet, the alarm of war.

Therefore I am full of the fury of the LORD; I am weary with holding it in: I will pour it out upon the children outdoors, and upon the assembly of young men together: for even the husband with the wife shall be taken, the aged with him that is full of days.

And depart, go to those of the captivity, to the children of your people, and speak to them, and tell them, Thus says the Lord GOD; whether they will hear, or whether they will refuse.

The lion has roared, who will not fear? the Lord GOD has spoken, who can but prophesy?

But truly I am full of power by the spirit of the LORD, and of judgment, and of might, to declare to Jacob his transgression, and to Israel his sin.

And Balaam said to Balak, Lo, I am come to you: have I now any power at all to say anything? the word that God puts in my mouth, that shall I speak.

Behold, I have received commandment to bless: and he has blessed; and I cannot reverse it.

Even as they delivered them to us, who from the beginning were eyewitnesses, and ministers of the word;

Beginning from the baptism of John, to that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection.

But you shall receive power, after the Holy Spirit has come upon you: and you shall be witnesses to me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and to the farthest part of the earth.

And when Silas and Timothy came from Macedonia, Paul was burdened in the spirit, and testified to the Jews that Jesus was Christ.

This Jesus has God raised up, of which we all are witnesses.

And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

For you shall be his witness to all men of what you have seen and heard.

And killed the Prince of life, whom God has raised from the dead; of which we are witnesses.

And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.
