And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was being carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask gifts from those who entered into the temple;

And it came to pass, that as he was coming near to Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the way side begging:

The neighbors therefore, and those who before had seen him that he was blind, said, Is not this he that sat and begged?

And said, Cornelius, your prayer is heard, and your gifts are kept in remembrance in the sight of God.

And when he looked at him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said to him, Your prayers and your gifts have come up for a memorial before God.

And there sat a certain man at Lystra, feeble in his feet, being a cripple from his mother’s womb, who never had walked:

And they knew that it was he who sat for gifts at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened to him.

For the man was over forty years old, on whom this miracle of healing was done.
