And when the natives saw the venomous beast hang on his hand, they said among themselves, No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he has escaped the sea, yet vengeance did not permit to live.

I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise.

Receive one who is weak in the faith, but not for doubtful controversies.

Let not him who eats despise him who does not eat; and let not him who does not eat judge him who eats: for God has received him.

And shall not uncircumcision which is by nature, if it fulfils the law, judge you, who by the letter and circumcision do transgress the law?

Therefore if I do not know the meaning of the sound, I shall be to him that speaks a foreigner, and he that speaks shall be a foreigner to me.

In weariness and painfulness, in sleeplessness often, in hunger and thirst, in fasting often, in cold and nakedness.

Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.

Do not be forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.
