The Lord GOD has opened my ear, and I was not rebellious, neither turned away backwards.

Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.

Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name. But his word was in my heart like a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with holding back, and I could not restrain myself.

And I did so as I was commanded: I brought forth my things by day, as things for captivity, and in the evening I dug through the wall with my hand; I brought them out in the twilight, and I carried them upon my shoulder in their sight.

So the spirit lifted me up, and took me away, and I went in bitterness, in the heat of my spirit; but the hand of the LORD was strong upon me.

But Jonah rose up to flee to Tarshish from the presence of the LORD, and went down to Joppa; and he found a ship going to Tarshish: so he paid the fare thereof, and went down into it, to go with them to Tarshish from the presence of the LORD.

To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith that is in me.

I consider myself happy, king Agrippa, because I shall answer for myself this day before you concerning all the things of which I am accused by the Jews:

But declared first to those of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the region of Judea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works suitable for repentance.

To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I did not confer with flesh and blood:
