My enemies reproach me all the day; and those who are angry with me have sworn an oath against me.

This is an evil among all things that are done under the sun, that there is one event for all: yea, also the heart of the sons of men is full of evil, and madness is in their heart while they live, and after that they go to the dead.

But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues;

But be careful of yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues you shall be beaten: and you shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, as a testimony against them.

Truly I say to you, All sins shall be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies with which they shall blaspheme:

And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father’s have bread enough and to spare, and I am perishing with hunger!

But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name’s sake.

And they were filled with madness; and discussed with one another what they might do to Jesus.

But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy, and spoke against those things which were spoken by Paul, contradicting and blaspheming.

And when they were opposed, and blasphemed, he shook his garments, and said to them, Your blood be upon your own heads; I am clean: from this time on I will go to the Gentiles.

And I said, Lord, they know that I imprisoned and beat in every synagogue those who believed in you:

As also the high priest bears me witness, and all the order of the elders: from whom also I received letters to the Jewish brethren, and went to Damascus, to bring those who were there bound to Jerusalem, to be punished.

And Saul, still breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest,

Do they not blaspheme that worthy name by which you are called?

But was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb donkey speaking with man’s voice restrained the madness of the prophet.
