But on the saints that are in the earth, and to the excellent, in whom is all my delight.

And threw him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man’s feet, whose name was Saul.

And Saul was consenting to his death. And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except the apostles.

As for Saul, he made havoc of the church, entering into every house, and dragging away men and women committed them to prison.

But all who heard him were amazed, and said; Is not this the one who destroyed those who called on this name in Jerusalem, and came here for that purpose, that he might bring them bound to the chief priests?

And when Saul had come to Jerusalem, he attempted to join himself to the disciples: but they were all afraid of him, and did not believe that he was a disciple.

And it came to pass, as Peter passed throughout all places, he came down also to the saints who dwelt at Lydda.

And he gave her his hand, and lifted her up, and when he had called the saints and widows, presented her alive.

For I am the least of the apostles, who am not fit to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.

For you have heard of my conduct in times past in the Jews’ religion, that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and devastated it:

Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints who are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:

And I saw the woman drunk with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great amazement.
