That search may be made in the book of the records of your fathers: so shall you find in the book of the records, and know that this city is a rebellious city, and hurtful to kings and provinces, and that they have rebelled within the same since a long time ago: for which cause was this city destroyed.

Crying out, Men of Israel, help: This is the man, that teaches all men everywhere against the people, and the law, and this place: and further brought Greeks also into the temple, and has polluted this holy place.

Neither can they prove the things of which they now accuse me.

And Festus said, King Agrippa, and all men who are here present with us, you see this man, about whom all the multitude of the Jews have appeared before me, both at Jerusalem, and also here, crying out that he ought not to live any longer.

Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved, to fill up their sins always: for the wrath has come upon them to the greatest extent.
