And after some days, when Felix came with his wife Drusilla, who was a Jewess, he sent for Paul, and heard him concerning the faith in Christ.

For Herod feared John, knowing that he was a just man and holy, and observed him; and when he heard him, he did many things, and heard him gladly.

And he sought to see who Jesus was; and could not because of the crowd, because he was little of stature.

And when Herod saw Jesus, he was exceedingly glad: for he had desired to see him for a long time, because he had heard many things about him; and he hoped to have seen some miracle done by him.

And they said, Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved, and your house.

Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.

And as he reasoned concerning righteousness, temperance, and judgment to come, Felix trembled, and answered, Go your way for now; when I have a convenient season, I will call for you.

Having therefore obtained help from God, I continue to this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying no other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say would come:

Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but through the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified through the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

This only would I learn from you, Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loves the one who fathers loves him also that is born of him.

Beloved, when I applied myself to write to you of the common salvation, I felt it necessary to write to you and urge you that you should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered to the saints.

Here is the patience of the saints: here are those who keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
