Whom I perceived to be accused concerning questions of their law, but to have nothing laid to his charge worthy of death or of imprisonment.

Then said the princes and all the people to the priests and to the prophets; This man is not worthy to die: for he has spoken to us in the name of the LORD our God.

But if it is a question of words and names, and of your law, you look to it; for I will be no judge of such matters.

For if I am an offender, or have committed anything worthy of death, I do not refuse to die: but if there are none of these things of which these accuse me, no man may deliver me to them. I appeal to Caesar.

But when I found that he had committed nothing worthy of death, and that he himself has appealed to Augustus, I have determined to send him,

And when they had gone aside, they talked between themselves, saying, This man has done nothing worthy of death or of imprisonment.

Who, when they had examined me, would have let me go, because there was no cause of death in me.

And if a man has committed a sin worthy of death, and he is to be put to death, and you hang him on a tree:
