And I fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to me, Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?
And he said, Hagar, Sarai’s maid, from where did you come? and to where will you go? And she said, I am fleeing from the face of my mistress Sarai.
And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said to him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am.
And the angel of the LORD called to him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I.
And the LORD God called to Adam, and said to him, Where are you?
And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called to him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I.
Thus says the LORD, What iniquity have your fathers found in me, that they have gone far from me, and have walked after vanity, and have become vain?
Therefore I will yet plead with you, says the LORD, and with your children’s children will I plead.
Then shall he answer them, saying, Truly I say to you, To the extent that you did it not to one of the least of these, you did it not to me.
And the governor said, Why, what evil has he done? But they cried out all the more, saying, Let him be crucified.
And it came to pass, that, as I made my journey, and came near to Damascus about noon, suddenly there shone from heaven a great light round about me.
And I answered, Who are You, Lord? And he said to me, I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom you persecute.
And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying to him, Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?
Who was formerly a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.
And the LORD came, and stood, and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, Speak; for your servant is listening.
