And all the city was moved, and the people ran together: and they took Paul, and brought him out of the temple: and immediately the doors were shut.

But Jehoiada the priest commanded the captains of the hundreds, the officers of the army, and said to them, Put her forth outside the temple: and him that follows her kill with the sword. For the priest had said, Let her not be slain in the house of the LORD.

When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.

And when he was come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, Who is this?

And rose up, and thrust him out of the city, and led him to the brow of the hill on which their city was built, that they might throw him down headlong.

And the whole city was filled with confusion: and having caught Gaius and Aristarchus, men of Macedonia, Paul’s companions in travel, they rushed with one accord into the theatre.

For these reasons the Jews caught me in the temple, and went about to kill me.

In journeys often, in peril from rivers, in peril from robbers, in peril from my own countrymen, in peril from the heathen, in peril in the city, in peril in the wilderness, in peril in the sea, in peril among false brethren;
