And there was a famine in the land: and Abram went down into Egypt to sojourn there; for the famine was severe in the land.

And in every province, and in every city, wherever the king’s commandment and his decree came, the Jews had joy and gladness, a feast and a good day. And many of the people of the land became Jews; for the fear of the Jews fell upon them.

Come up, you horses; and rage, you chariots; and let the mighty men come forth; the Ethiopians and the Libyans, that handle the shield; and the Lydians, that handle and bend the bow.

And some of them were men of Cyprus and Cyrene, who, when they came to Antioch, spoke to the Grecians, preaching the Lord Jesus.

Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers, such as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, who had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.

Now when Paul and his company sailed from Paphos, they came to Perga in Pamphylia: and John departing from them returned to Jerusalem.

Now when the congregation had broken up, many of the Jews and devout converts followed Paul and Barnabas: who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God.

And after they had passed throughout Pisidia, they came to Pamphylia.

But Paul thought it not good to take him with them, who departed from them from Pamphylia, and did not go with them to the work.

Now when they had gone throughout Phrygia and the region of Galatia, and were forbidden by the Holy Spirit to preach the word in Asia,

(For all the Athenians and foreigners which were there spent their time in nothing else, but either to tell, or to hear some new thing.)

And found a certain Jew named Aquila, born in Pontus, lately come from Italy, with his wife Priscilla; (because Claudius had commanded all Jews to depart from Rome:) and came to them.

And after he had spent some time there, he departed, and went through all the region of Galatia and Phrygia in succession, strengthening all the disciples.

Cretes and Arabians, we hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.

And the night following the Lord stood by him, and said, Be of good cheer, Paul: for as you have testified of me in Jerusalem, so must you bear witness also at Rome.

And when we had sailed over the sea of Cilicia and Pamphylia, we came to Myra, a city of Lycia.

And from there, when the believers heard of us, they came as far as Appii forum, and The three taverns to meet us: whom when Paul saw, he thanked God, and took courage.

And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas a proselyte from Antioch:

Then there arose certain of the synagogue, which is called the synagogue of the Libertines, and Cyrenians, and Alexandrians, and of those of Cilicia and of Asia, disputing with Stephen.

So, as far as I am able, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also.

To all that are in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

But, when he was in Rome, he sought me out very diligently, and found me.

And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.
