And when they were opposed, and blasphemed, he shook his garments, and said to them, Your blood be upon your own heads; I am clean: from this time on I will go to the Gentiles.
Their blood shall therefore return upon the head of Joab, and upon the head of his descendents for ever: but upon David, and upon his descendents, and upon his house, and upon his throne, shall there be peace for ever from the LORD.
Also I shook my garment, and said, So God shake out every man from his house, and from his labor, that does not fulfill this promise, even thus may he be shaken out, and emptied. And all the congregation said, Amen, and praised the LORD. And the people did according to this promise.
Has given out at interest, and has taken unjust gain: shall he then live? he shall not live: he has done all these abominations; he shall surely die; his blood shall be upon him.
But if the watchman sees the sword come, and does not blow the trumpet, and the people are not warned; if the sword comes, and takes any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman’s hand.

And I punished them often in every synagogue, and compelled them to blaspheme; and being exceedingly mad against them, I persecuted them even to foreign cities.
But declared first to those of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the region of Judea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works suitable for repentance.
If you are insulted for the name of Christ, happy are you; for the spirit of glory and of God rests upon you: by them he is evil spoken of, but by you he is glorified.
