And when Silas and Timothy came from Macedonia, Paul was burdened in the spirit, and testified to the Jews that Jesus was Christ.

Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name. But his word was in my heart like a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with holding back, and I could not restrain myself.

Therefore I am full of the fury of the LORD; I am weary with holding it in: I will pour it out upon the children outdoors, and upon the assembly of young men together: for even the husband with the wife shall be taken, the aged with him that is full of days.

So the spirit lifted me up, and took me away, and I went in bitterness, in the heat of my spirit; but the hand of the LORD was strong upon me.

He first found his own brother Simon, and said to him, We have found the Messiah, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.

Then came the Jews round about him, and said to him, How long do you make us doubt? If you are the Christ, tell us plainly.

And you also shall bear witness, because you have been with me from the beginning.

You yourselves bear me witness, that I said, I am not the Christ, but that I am sent before him.

And he commanded us to preach to the people, and to testify that it is he who was ordained by God to be the Judge of living and dead.

Then it pleased the apostles and elders, with the whole church, to send chosen men of their own company to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas; namely, Judas surnamed Barsabas, and Silas, chief men among the believers:

Then he came to Derbe and Lystra: and, behold, a certain disciple was there, named Timothy, the son of a certain woman, who was a Jewess, and believed; but his father was a Greek:

And from there to Philippi, which is the chief city of that part of Macedonia, and a colony: and we stayed in that city some days.

And a vision appeared to Paul in the night; There stood a man of Macedonia, and requested him, saying, Come over into Macedonia, and help us.

Explaining and declaring, that Christ had to have suffered, and risen again from the dead; and that this Jesus, whom I preach to you, is Christ.

For he mightily convinced the Jews, and that publicly, showing by the scriptures that Jesus was Christ.

Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God has made that same Jesus, whom you have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.

Except that the Holy Spirit witnesses in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions await me.

But none of these things move me, neither do I count my life dear to myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry which I have received from the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

For we cannot but speak the things that we have seen and heard.

But Saul increased all the more in strength, and brought the Jews who dwelt at Damascus into perplexity, proving that this is indeed Christ.

For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, even by me and Silvanus and Timothy, was not yes and no, but in him it was yes.

And when I was present with you, and lacked, I was chargeable to no one: for that which was lacking to me the brethren who came from Macedonia supplied: and in all things I have kept myself from being burdensome to you, and so will I keep myself.

For the love of Christ constrains us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then all were dead:

For I am in a dilemma between the two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:

And sent Timothy, our brother, and minister of God, and our fellow laborer in the gospel of Christ, to establish you, and to comfort you concerning your faith:

But now when Timothy came from you to us, and brought us good news of your faith and love, and that you have good remembrance of us always, desiring greatly to see us, as we also to see you:

By Silvanus, a faithful brother to you, as I consider him, I have written briefly, encouraging, and testifying that this is the true grace of God in which you stand.
