Let us go, we pray you, to the Jordan, and take from there every man a beam, and let us make us a place there, where we may dwell. And he answered, Go.
But I have made use of none of these things: neither have I written these things, that it should be so done to me: for it would be better for me to die, than that anyone should make my boasting of no effect.
What is my reward then? Truly that, when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel of Christ without expense, so that I do not abuse my power in the gospel.

For you remember, brethren, our labor and travail: for laboring night and day, because we would not be an expense to any of you, we preached to you the gospel of God.
