When they desired him to stay a longer time with them, he did not consent;

But bid them farewell, saying, I must by all means keep this feast that is coming in Jerusalem: but I will return again to you, if God wills. And he sailed from Ephesus.

And a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man, and mighty in the scriptures, came to Ephesus.

And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks.

And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper regions came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples,

And this was known to all the Jews and Greeks also dwelling at Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified.

Moreover you see and hear, that not alone at Ephesus, but almost throughout all Asia, this Paul has persuaded and turned away many people, saying that they are no gods, which are made with hands:

And when they heard these sayings, they were full of anger, and cried out, saying, Great is Diana of the Ephesians.

And when the town clerk had calmed the people, he said, You men of Ephesus, what man is there that does not know that the city of the Ephesians is a worshiper of the great goddess Diana, and of the image which fell down from Jupiter?

For Paul had determined to sail by Ephesus, because he did not want to spend the time in Asia: for he was hurrying, if it were possible for him, to be at Jerusalem for the day of Pentecost.

And from Miletus he sent to Ephesus, and called for the elders of the church.

(For they had seen before with him in the city Trophimus an Ephesian, whom they supposed that Paul had brought into the temple.)

If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what benefit is it to me, if the dead do not rise? Let us eat and drink; for tomorrow we die.

But I will remain at Ephesus until Pentecost.

Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints who are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:

As I pleaded with you to remain longer at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that you might instruct some that they teach no other doctrine,

The Lord grant to him that he may find mercy from the Lord in that day: and in how many things he ministered to me at Ephesus, you know very well.

And Tychicus have I sent to Ephesus.

Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What you see, write in a book, and send it to the seven churches which are in Asia; to Ephesus, and to Smyrna, and to Pergamos, and to Thyatira, and to Sardis, and to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea.

To the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things says he who holds the seven stars in his right hand, who walks in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks;
