Turn back at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit to you, I will make known my words to you.

Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and you shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.

And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

And it shall come to pass in that day that the mountains shall drop down new wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the rivers of Judah shall flow with waters, and a fountain shall come forth from the house of the LORD, and shall water the valley of Shittim.

I indeed baptize you with water for repentance: but he who comes after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to carry: he shall baptize you with the Holy Spirit, and with fire:

And were baptized by him in the Jordan, confessing their sins.

I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Spirit.

And they remembered his words,

John answered, saying to them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I comes, the strap of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire:

John answered them, saying, I baptize with water: but there stands one among you, whom you do not know;

And I did not know him: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said to me, Upon whom you shall see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.

But the Comforter, which is the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatever I have said to you.

But these things have I told you, that when the time shall come, you may remember that I told you of them. And these things I did not say to you at the beginning, because I was with you.

For John truly baptized with water; but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days hence.

I have shown you all things, how so laboring you ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we are Jews or Gentiles, whether we are slaves or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

This second epistle, beloved, I now write to you; in both of which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance:
