He saw clearly in a vision about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying to him, Cornelius.

Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.

And the LORD said to Moses, I will do this thing also that you have spoken: for you have found grace in my sight, and I know you by name.

For Jacob my servant’s sake, and Israel my elect, I have even called you by your name: I have named you, though you have not known me.

And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

And there appeared to him an angel of the Lord standing on the right side of the altar of incense.

And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,

Now while Peter doubted in himself what this vision which he had seen should mean, behold, the men which were sent from Cornelius had made inquiry for Simon’s house, and stood before the gate,

While Peter thought about the vision, the Spirit said to him, Behold, three men are looking for you.

And Cornelius said, Four days ago I was fasting until this hour; and at the ninth hour I was praying in my house, and, behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing,

On the next day, as they went on their journey, and drew near to the city, Peter went up on the housetop to pray about the sixth hour:

And he told us how he had seen an angel in his house, who stood and said to him, Send men to Joppa, and call for Simon, whose surname is Peter;

For there stood by me this night the angel of God, whose I am, and whom I serve,

Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.

But the angel of the Lord by night opened the prison doors, and brought them out, and said,

And there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias; and to him the Lord said in a vision, Ananias. And he said, Behold, I am here, Lord.

And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying to him, Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?

Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for those who shall be heirs of salvation?

Being made so much better than the angels, as he has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
