Who has saved us, and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

If by any means I may provoke to emulation those who are my flesh, and might save some of them.

For the gifts and calling of God will not be withdrawn.

Now to him who is able to establish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,

Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

(For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to selection might stand, not because of works, but because of him that calls;)

Even us, whom he has called, not from the Jews only, but also from the Gentiles?

For the preaching of the cross is to those who perish foolishness; but to us who are saved it is the power of God.

In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his own will:

Having made known to us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he has purposed in himself:

Even when we were dead in sins, has made us alive together with Christ, (by grace you are saved;)

According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:

I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

For God has not called us to uncleanness, but to holiness.

The beast that you saw was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and those who dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.
