But is now revealed by the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, who has abolished death, and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:
Tell it, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who has declared this from ancient time? who has told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no other God besides me; a just God and a Savior; there is none besides me.
I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death: O death, I will be your plagues; O grave, I will be your destruction: turning back shall be hid from my eyes.
If your whole body therefore is full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of a candle gives you light.
Then said he to the keeper of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I have come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why does it take up the ground?
And said to the woman, Now we believe, not because of your saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Savior of the world.
But now is clearly revealed, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:
