The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh comes; and to him shall the gathering of the people be.

He is the tower of salvation for his king: and shows mercy to his anointed, to David, and to his descendents for evermore.

He shall build a house for my name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom for ever.

According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so did Nathan speak to David.

That the LORD may continue his word which he spoke concerning me, saying, If your children are careful of their way, to walk before me in truth with all their heart and with all their soul, there shall not fail you (said he) a man on the throne of Israel.

Then I will establish the throne of your kingdom upon Israel for ever, as I promised to David your father, saying, There shall not fail you a man upon the throne of Israel.

For I will defend this city, to save it, for my own sake, and for my servant David’s sake.

Yet the LORD would not destroy Judah for David his servant’s sake, as he promised him to give him always a light, and to his children.

Now therefore, O LORD God of Israel, keep with your servant David my father that which you have promised him, saying, There shall not fail you a man in my sight to sit upon the throne of Israel; if only your children are careful of their way to walk in my law, as you have walked before me.

He does not withdraw his eyes from the righteous: but with kings are they on the throne; yea, he establishes them for ever, and they are exalted.

Your throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of your kingdom is a right sceptre.

They shall fear you as long as the sun and moon endure, throughout all generations.

Your descendents will I establish for ever, and build up your throne to all generations. Selah.

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from this time forwards even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

Then shall there enter into the gates of this city kings and princes sitting upon the throne of David, riding in chariots and on horses, they, and their princes, the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem: and this city shall remain for ever.

For thus says the LORD; David shall never lack a man to sit upon the throne of the house of Israel;

And they shall dwell in the land that I have given to Jacob my servant, in which your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell in it, even they, and their children, and their children’s children for ever: and my servant David shall be their prince for ever.

And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.

And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.

And I say also to you, That you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

The people answered him, We have heard out of the law that Christ remains for ever: and how can you say, The Son of man must be lifted up? Who is this Son of man?

But to the Son he says, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a scepter of righteousness is the scepter of thy kingdom.

And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

I pray you, forgive the trespass of your handmaid: for the LORD will certainly make my lord a sure house; because my lord fights the battles of the LORD, and evil has not been found in you all your days.
