So the king commanded Benaiah the son of Jehoiada; who went out, and fell upon him, that he died. And the kingdom was established in the hand of Solomon.

And of the Gadites there separated themselves unto David into the stronghold to the wilderness men of might, and men of war fit for the battle, that could handle shield and buckler, whose faces were like the faces of lions, and were as swift as the deer upon the mountains;

And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and the sons of David were chief next to the king.

Then the chiefs of Edom shall be amazed; the mighty men of Moab, trembling shall take hold upon them; all the inhabitants of Canaan shall melt away.

And the farthest cities of the tribe of the children of Judah toward the border of Edom southward were Kabzeel, and Eder, and Jagur,
