He arose, and struck the Philistines until his hand was weary, and his hand stuck to the sword: and the LORD accomplished a great victory that day; and the people only returned after him to plunder.

But he stood in the midst of the ground, and defended it, and slew the Philistines: and the LORD accomplished a great victory.

Now Naaman, captain of the army of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master, and honored, because by him the LORD had given deliverance to Syria: he was also a mighty man in valor, but he was a leper.

He was with David at Pas-dammim, and there the Philistines were gathered together to battle, where was a parcel of ground full of barley; and the people fled from before the Philistines.

Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.

It is he that gives salvation to kings: who delivers David his servant from the hurtful sword.

Kings of armies fled quickly: and she that stayed at home divided the spoil.

For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ has not done through me, to make the Gentiles obedient, by word and deed,

For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake.

And the LORD overcame them before Israel, and slew them with a great slaughter at Gibeon, and chased them along the way that goes up to Beth-horon, and struck them to Azekah, and unto Makkedah.

And all these kings and their land did Joshua take at one time, because the LORD God of Israel fought for Israel.

And the LORD delivered them into the hand of Israel, who struck them, and chased them to great Sidon, and to Misrephoth-maim, and to the valley of Mizpeh eastward; and they struck them, until they left them none remaining.

And when he came to Lehi, the Philistines shouted against him: and the Spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him, and the cords that were upon his arms became as flax that was burnt with fire, and his bands loosed off from his hands.

And he was very thirsty, and called on the LORD, and said, You have given this great deliverance into the hand of your servant: and now shall I die of thirst, and fall into the hand of the uncircumcised?

And Saul said, There shall not a man be put to death this day: for today the LORD has worked salvation in Israel.

So the LORD saved Israel that day: and the battle passed over to Beth-aven.

And Jonathan said to the young man that carried his armor, Come, and let us go over to the garrison of these uncircumcised: it may be that the LORD will work for us: for there is no limitation to the LORD to save by many or by few.

And the children of Israel returned from chasing after the Philistines, and they plundered their tents.

For he put his life in his hand, and slew the Philistine, and the LORD accomplished a great salvation for all Israel: you saw it, and rejoiced: why then will you sin against innocent blood, to kill David without a cause?
