You shall not revile the gods, nor curse the ruler of your people.

As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come.

Do not curse the king, no not in your thought; and do not curse the rich in your bedchamber: for a bird of the air shall carry the voice, and that which has wings shall tell the matter.

And they shall pass through it, hard pressed and hungry: and it shall come to pass, that when they shall be hungry, they shall stir themselves up, and curse their king and their God, and look upward.

And the Philistine said to David, Am I a dog, that you come to me with sticks? And the Philistine cursed David by his gods.
