For he is gone down this day, and has slain oxen and fat cattle and sheep in abundance, and has called all the king’s sons, and the captains of the army, and Abiathar the priest; and, behold, they eat and drink before him, and say, God save king Adonijah.
And he brought forth the king’s son, and put the crown upon him, and gave him the book of the law; and they made him king, and anointed him; and they clapped their hands, and said, God save the king.
Now the queen, because of the words of the king and his lords, came into the banquet house: and the queen spoke and said, O king, live for ever: let not your thoughts trouble you, nor let your appearance be changed:
And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried out, saying, Hosanna to the Son of David: Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.
And Samuel said to all the people, See him whom the LORD has chosen, that there is none like him among all the people? And all the people shouted, and said, God save the king.
