2 Samuel 16:11Lighthouse Bible 2006And David said to Abishai, and to all his servants, Behold, my son, which came forth from my body, seeks my life: how much more now may this Benjamite do it? let him alone, and let him curse; for the LORD has told him to do it. See the chapter |
And the LORD sent an angel, which cut off all the mighty men of valor, and the leaders and captains in the camp of the king of Assyria. So he returned with shame of face to his own land. And when he had come into the house of his god, those who came forth from his own body slew him there with the sword.
Now therefore, I pray you, let my lord the king hear the words of his servant. If the LORD has stirred you up against me, let him accept an offering: but if they be the children of men, cursed be they before the LORD; for they have driven me out this day from abiding in the inheritance of the LORD, saying, Go, serve other gods.
