Seeing you came but yesterday, should I this day make you go here and there with us? seeing I go where I may, return, and take back your kinfolk with you: mercy and truth be with you.
And David sent messengers to the men of Jabesh-gilead, and said to them, Blessed be you by the LORD, that you have shown this kindness to your lord, even to Saul, and have buried him.
And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east; they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find it.
Then David and his men, which were about six hundred, arose and departed out of Keilah, and went wherever they could go. And it was told Saul that David had escaped from Keilah; and he did not go forth.
