And Absalom came to the king, and said, Behold now, your servant has sheep shearers; let the king, I beg of you, and his servants go with your servant.
And in the course of time the daughter of Shuah Judah’s wife died; and Judah was comforted, and went up to his sheepshearers to Timnath, he and his friend Hirah the Adullamite.
And it came to pass after two full years, that Absalom had sheep shearers in Baal-hazor, which is beside Ephraim: and Absalom invited all the king’s sons.
And the king said to Absalom, Nay, my son, let us not all now go, lest we be burdensome to you. And he pressed him: however he would not go, but blessed him.
And now I have heard that you have shearers: now your shepherds which were with us, we hurt them not, neither was there anything missing for them, all the while they were in Carmel.
