And I, where shall I make my shame go? and as for you, you shall be as one of the fools in Israel. Now therefore, I pray you, speak to the king; for he will not withhold me from you.
Behold now, I have two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out to you, and do to them as is good in your eyes: only to these men do nothing; because for this purpose came they under the shadow of my roof.
Then they shall bring out the damsel to the door of her father’s house, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones that she dies: because she has done folly in Israel, to play the whore in her father’s house: so shall you put evil away from among you.
Behold, here is my daughter a maiden, and his concubine; them I will bring out now, and you may humble them, and do with them what seems good to you: but to this man do not do so vile a thing.
