For he sees that wise men die, likewise the fool and the stupid person perish, and leave their wealth to others.

A stupid man does not know; neither does a fool understand this.

Understand, you stupid among the people: and you fools, when will you be wise?

The wicked is driven away in his wickedness: but the righteous has hope in his death.

For the shepherds have become stupid, and have not sought the LORD: therefore they shall not prosper, and all their flocks shall be scattered.

Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:

Then said Jesus again to them, I go my way, and you shall seek me, and shall die in your sins: where I am going, you cannot come.

For he who sows to his flesh shall from the flesh reap corruption; but he who sows to the Spirit shall from the Spirit reap life everlasting.

Which are all to perish with the consumption;) according to the commandments and doctrines of men?

By which are given to us exceedingly great and precious promises: that by these you may be sharers in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for by whom a person is overcome, by the same is he brought in bondage.

But these speak evil of those things which they do not know: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves.
