Why do you spend money for that which is not bread? and your labor for that which does not satisfy? listen diligently to me, and eat that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.
And those who are far off shall come and build in the temple of the LORD, and you shall know that the LORD of hosts has sent me to you. And this shall come to pass, if you will diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God.
And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that those who would pass from here to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, who would come from there.

But without faith it is impossible to please him, for he who comes to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him.
And they returned to Joshua, and said to him, Let not all the people go up; but let about two or three thousand men go up and strike Ai; and do not make all the people to labor there; for they are but few.
Likewise, you husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; so that your prayers are not hindered.
