Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who have obtained an equally precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Savior Jesus Christ:

Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also has become my salvation.

Simeon has declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out from them a people for his name.

Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated for the gospel of God,

That is, that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me.

For in it is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

But you are of him in Christ Jesus, who from God is made to be for us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

For I am the least of the apostles, who am not fit to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.

Am I not an apostle? Am I not free? Have I not seen Jesus Christ our Lord? Are you not my work in the Lord?

We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;

For he has made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

(For he that worked effectively in Peter in the apostleship to the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles:)

Which in other ages was not made known to the sons of men as it is now revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;

And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

Paul and Timothy, the servants of Jesus Christ, to all the saints in Christ Jesus who are at Philippi, with the leaders and deacons:

For to you it is given in behalf of Christ, not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for his sake;

And be found in him, not having my own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

When I call to remembrance the genuine faith that is in you, which dwelt first in your grandmother Lois, and your mother Eunice; and I am persuaded in you also.
