And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an army surrounded the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said to him, Alas, my master! what shall we do?

And he returned back from him, and took a yoke of oxen, and slew them, and boiled their flesh with the equipment of the oxen, and gave to the people, and they did eat. Then he arose, and went after Elijah, and ministered to him.

But Jehoshaphat said, Is there not here a prophet of the LORD, that we may inquire of the LORD by him? And one of the king of Israel’s servants answered and said, Here is Elisha the son of Shaphat, who poured water on the hands of Elijah.

But Gehazi, the servant of Elisha the man of God, said, Behold, my master has spared Naaman this Syrian, in not receiving at his hands that which he brought: but, as the LORD lives, I will run after him, and take something from him.

The leprosy therefore of Naaman shall cling to you, and to your descendents for ever. And he went out from his presence a leper as white as snow.

Therefore he sent horses there, and chariots, and a great army: and they came by night, and surrounded the city.

And he answered, Fear not: for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.

But as one was felling a beam, the axe head fell into the water: and he cried out, and said, Alas, master! for it was borrowed.

O our God, will you not judge them? for we have no might against this great company that comes against us; neither do we know what to do: but our eyes are upon you.

There were they in great fear, where no fear was: for God has scattered the bones of him that encamps against you: you have put them to shame, because God has despised them.

And Moses rose up, and his minister Joshua: and Moses went up into the mount of God.

And he said to them, Why are you fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.

And when they were at Salamis, they preached the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews: and they had also John as their assistant.
